In just 5 years the Reedy River Duck Derby has become the premier community and family event and fundraiser in Greenville. Mayor Knox White has declared the week of May 2nd "Reedy River Duck Derby Week".

The Duck Derby is a day-long family and children's festival featuring food, games, and activities for children. The day is highlighted by the Derby - the release of 10,000 numbered yellow rubber ducks into the Reedy River. They race over the Falls, under the Bridge, and end in the pool in the heart of Falls Park. Winning ducks are caught, tagged, and matched with their adoptive "parents", and those parents are notified of their winnings.

In 2009 the Derby awarded 32 prizes including the top prize of $3,900 worth of groceries from BI-LO. More importantly $17,000 was given away to 12 charities..

Adopt a duck, join the race, and help us raise money for our charities while enjoying the Race! Join us at Reedy River Falls Park on May 1, 2010 for the 6th Annual Running of the Ducks!
